--- Greg @ SpecialtyZ wins the IDRC West Coast Nationals. This is the 4th year in a row that a Z32 from the SpecialtyZ shop has won the annual event. --- Sorry for the late update for Brad's runs from a couple of weeks ago. I'm busy on another side project. More on that later. --- Another quick side note. Took the MINI out to the dragstrip a couple weeks back and with the recent JCW factory mods, it ran a 15.05 @ 91 mph. It was pretty warm out and the motor was heat soaked after sitting in traffic on the ride to the track. It'll easily tun 14's on a cooler day.

--- Check it out! Our first 9-sec time this year! It comes from Randy(citation). That's deep into the 9's and a super quick 143 MPH. See his timeslip pic from his updated entry on the Outlaw/Modified class. A definite congrats to Randy. --- Tony(phillyz) does it again. Yet another 10 sec timeslip. But the surpise this time is the amazing 133 mph trap speed. All in a very sleeper lookig Z32! This first outing of this year already betters his best from last year. So it also updates his time on the All-Time-Best list. Congrats to Tony!

--- Been a while since the last update. But we finally have another addition to the TT-Street class. Rob(SpdCrazy) posted a low 12-sec time with Sport 500 turbos. Decent run. --- Last weekend, Randy(citation) posted a very nice low-low 10-sec time. His time of 10.03 is the first on the Outlaw list for this year due to the TH400 domestic tranny he is using. And this causes some change to the All-Time lists. Randy moves in the #3 spot for all-time Outlaws and then Seb comes back from grave and takes the #10 spot on the all-time TT-Street class. So, congrats to Randy. And I look forward to a 9-sec time in the future. Oh, also click on the video icon on his list entry.

--- Quick update today. For you racers in the NYC-metro area, Englishtown,NJ dragstrip is our local track. And their 2009 racing schedule is now available for download. I created a link below in the "Quick Links" section. Take a look. Also, if you're going to be a frequent racer, you can get your own personal racing # for $5. See at the top of the E-town website. And opening day is Saturday Feb 28th, weather permitting.

--- Another quick update. Check out this vid on YouTube of Greg's car in the finals of Battle of the Imports event: CLICK-HERE. Yeah, he didn't win. But it's still an impressive 9.8 run with a not so hot 60' time. Plus it's way off his 151 mph best of the weekend. Again, he had to back off cause he didn't have a chute.

--- Quick update. Just wanted to report that Greg(specialty-Z) will be installing a parachute on this monster Z32. Again, He was told to slow down below 150 mph, as per NHRA and track safety rules. --- OK, since there's been no Z32 racing in about a month, here's some other 1/4 mile action for you. Took out my turbo MINI Cooper S to the dragstrip last night. Had to learn how to launch this wheel spinning beast! On my 3rd run, I posted a blistering 15.49 @ 88 mph, bone stock. Factory everything, no mods ... yet. :-) See my timeslip pic in the "Arnel's Cars Drag List" section for more car info and run stats info.

But it was awesome to see Tony running some very respectiable 11-sec times. Maybe his last pass was a 10-sec. --- Real quick. Picked up my new ride tonight! I'm back in the MINI, after selling my '03 two years ago. It's a brand new '08 Cooper S and black again. But this time it's a turbo baby! And auto cause I will be bracket racing this down the dragstrip. Only pic I have is from the dealer this past weekend. The stock wheels will be coming off and then slapping on my old wheels from the '03. That's it! --- Now I want to see more Z32 1/4 mile times!

--- It's been very quiet with almost no racing. But Christina(z_trbl_mkr) has broken the silence with some all-motor action. She's posted a 15.5 sec time with her absolutely beautiful white NA! So i did a ton of research on the net. Here's what I came up with. Their best pass is 7.409 @ 183 mph. Very respectable for 2001. --- Fixing an error on the lists tonight. Turns out moreboost is not running a stock tranny. He actually has a Ford C4 automatic. So that puts him in the Outlaw/Modified class into the #2 spot for this year's 2007 list. Then over on the All-Time-Best lists, again he moves into the Outlaw/Modified class but now allows machtavian to take the #10 spot on the TT-Street class. Congrats to Machtavain. Lucky bastage! :-)

--- Got email from Piranha(AZ) about his run from last year which I'm not updating into the closed-out 2006 drag list. But it is a very respectable 12.09 time on stock turbos. --- I just got Greg's timeslip from their SoCal dragstrip outing last weekend. And I'm happy to say, Greg is back in the 9's and tops the TT-Street class once aagin. --- Just a quick update today. If you remember, Scotts94z32 pointed out that Aumvovr had a faster time than what I orginally had posted. Aumvovr's new time actually just edged out Scott's time by 0.002 with an 11.367 ET. Well Scott went back to the dragstrip last weekend with a coupe of other Socal racers and he was able to post an 11.33 ET which beats Aumvovr. Congrats to Scott for taking back the #6 spot on the TT Street class list. Oh, and Scott did have another pass with a 132 MPH trap speed. So we should see 10's from him next year! --- CORRECTION: Scott is in the #5 spot. DOH! :-)

--- Yet another blast-from-the-past update. I recently dug up the video I took at E-town,NJ back in 2003 when Jorge Lazcan drove his Pro Import 300ZX to a 7.09 elapsed time. --- Another blast-from-the-past update. This time it's about Kyle(SGP), ex-SGP actually. Anyway, I added a video link to Kyle's entry on the All-Time-Best list. It's one of the burnout's during Kyle's visit to Englishtown,NJ back in 2000. And the quick video: click HERE. Also click HERE and HERE for pics of the drag event. --- In other racing news, turns out there is a video of aumvovr with a faster time. He's on the same video with machtvian making his 10.8 pass. Aumvovr ran an 11.367 and moves him up 1 spot on the list while knocking down scotts94z32. And ironically it was Scott who informed me about this!

--- I was recently informed of a descrepancy on the All-Time-Best list. The bad news: I completely forgot that Travis(zemaestro) had a domestic tranny for his 10.28 run. So that moves him into the #4 spot in the Outlaw/Modified class. Now the good news: Seb is back on the TT class list! He's back on the bubble with his 10.840 ET. --- And while we're on the topic of talking about zemaestro, here's the link for some pics on the day he made that low 10-sec run back in 5/4/2002: click here. --- Greg@Specialty apparently was on Redline TV on the Speedchannel cable network. Looks like they showed Greg's 10-sec run from the IDRC event. Click HERE for a post on TT.net with a couple of pics. I haven't seen it myself. But pretty nice to see the Z32 still getting some TV coverage. --- And in other racing news, we have 2 more 11-sec cars. Congrats to Aumvovr and Booster(MD). --- Well we had a first snowfall of the Winter season here in the Northeast. So most likely no more racing till Spring for us.

And click on the date on his list entry for a link to a video on YouTube. Then we have Machtavian cracking into the 10's. But he doesn't have a timeslip for me. But should have a video to show soon. Congrats here. Then phillyz runs a low 11 pass on moderate boost levels. Should be in the 10's with the boost turned up. And rounding out the list, 91300zxttkid climbs up the list with his 12.37 ET. --- Also see the changes to the All-Time-Best list with all of the new 10-sec members. --- OK, here's another update. I think I have all of the 2007 timeslips up now. At least that is all that I have gotten or all that I could find by searching on TT.net. So Dean(drdcanaceu) is the top dog right now. And as you can see, I'm only putting up sub 13-sec times in the TT-Street class. --- I know there are guys racing this weekend in CA and in MD. Good luck to them. I hope to be getting their times up as soon as I get them. And if you or someone you know has a time from 2007 that makes the lists, please email me the info.

--- The updates are coming in fast & furious now. I've added Greg's time from his recent win at the IDRC event in CA. Not a 9-second pass. But due to the safety rules, they were not allowed to run the car over 135 mph! Glad to see them following all safety mandates! Congrats to Greg and the Specialty-Z team. Keeep up the good work. We should be seeing some 9-sec runs soon. --- In other news, I had some time to update the All-Time-Best list. And I'll expand the Outlaw/Modified class when it gets more racers. As for the TT-Street class, that stays as a top-10 class. --- Lastly, stay tuned for more entries to the 2007 TT-Street class coming soon.

--- And the updates to the site have begun! Right off the bat, we have Eric(z324u) with his new world record for a TT street car. CONGRATS to him for an awesome time! I do hope to see more cars in the class to keep things interesting. --- Also, as requested by a TT.net member, I have created the All-Time-Best list. Only Eric is on it for now.
